Cait O’Riordan was appointed Chief Product and Information Officer for the Financial Times in February 2016. She is responsible for platform and product strategy, development and operations across the FT Group, working in close partnership with editorial and commercial areas and reporting to John Ridding, CEO. She is on the FT executive board, which is responsible for the company’s global strategy and performance.
Cait has more than 20 years experience across the media, product and technology industries and a strong track record of defining and delivering high quality global products across devices. Before joining the Financial Times, she lead the BBC’s cross-platform digital product for the London 2012 Olympics, which set new digital standards for live-event coverage, and played a central role in the user and revenue growth of digital music company Shazam. A former broadcast journalist with a good understanding of news media, Caitbrings deep experience of mobile, video and a strong customer focus.
